Diagnosis: hydrocephalus
  • 8-years-old girl
  • Headaches, seizures, gait ataxia
  • MR: ventriculomegaly, pachymeningitis
EQUIPMENT USED
  • Storz Lotta endoscope
  • Bipolar electrode
  • Sharp click-line biopsy forceps
  • Decq forceps
  • 1 mm 3F balloon catheter
  • Rigid endoscope holder
SURGICAL TIPS
  • Multiple nodules on ependymal surface of all ventricles
  • Perforation of the thick floor of the third ventricle with bipolar diathermy coagulation and perforation with Decq forceps
  • When you cannot visualize the basilar artery, aim towards the direction of the dorsum sellae to avoid injuring it
