Diagnosis: hydrocephalus
- 8-years-old girl
- Headaches, seizures, gait ataxia
- MR: ventriculomegaly, pachymeningitis
EQUIPMENT USED
- Storz Lotta endoscope
- Bipolar electrode
- Sharp click-line biopsy forceps
- Decq forceps
- 1 mm 3F balloon catheter
- Rigid endoscope holder
SURGICAL TIPS
- Multiple nodules on ependymal surface of all ventricles
- Perforation of the thick floor of the third ventricle with bipolar diathermy coagulation and perforation with Decq forceps
- When you cannot visualize the basilar artery, aim towards the direction of the dorsum sellae to avoid injuring it
