Diagnosis: Pituitary tumour
  • 37-year-old female
  • Bitemporal hemianopsia
  • MR scan: pituitary tumour with suprasellar extension compressing the optic chiasm
EQUIPMENT USED
  • StorzGaab pituitary endoscope
SURGICAL TIPS
  • Right mononostril approach
  • Removal of the tumour with curettes
  • Repair of the floor of the sella with gelfoam, pieces of the resected bone and fibrin glue
